Description

The base of this lamp is part of the figural line that was designed by Reuben Haley for Muncie  Art Pottery. It was produced from 1919 to 1939, basically the time span of the the Art Deco period. The brass ormolu mount and finial complement the base and promote the Art Deco theme of dancing nymphs. The color of the base is matte green, probably the most desirable of the finishes. Very much like  celadon.  Absolutely beautiful. The pot and hardware are in very good condition considering the age. The shade is original but  is faded, frayed and torn at the inner seams of the liner; the outer cloth is intact. The lamp is 27 1/2" tall; the base widest section is app 9".
