This listing is for a lovely antique shell Cameo brooch with Flora portrait set in 10 K yellow gold engraved mounting, c. 1900. The b
eautiful classic Roman female cameo bust has intricate details carved in high relief in tones of dark coral and cream. There is a bail for wearing as a pendant and the closure is tight. The cameo mounting is unmarked but tests to be 10 K gold and has an elegant engraved design on the wide flattened outer border.
Measures 2 1/2" high and 2" wide. Weighs 20 grams.
This nice cameo is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minor signs of wear on the back side of frame.
