    Description

    This is an antique oval shell cameo pin in a 14K yellow gold (tested) frame with a subtle, twisted rope detail.
    The cameo
    shows a scene of a man and a boy with a dog.  They are in front of a tree, which is behind a brick pillar or fence.  It looks like the man is leaning on a basket of some sort, and there is another one behind where the boy is sitting.  The man and boy are playing with the dog.  In the far right background, there is a faint image of a cabin in the distance. This unusual pin is 1 3/4 inches high and 1 3/8 inches wide. The cameo itself is in excellent condition; the frame has a very slight dent (lower right side), and the hinge has been replaced at some point by a less than talented goldsmith (see close-up photo).
