    Antique French 18K Gold Coral Cameo Pendant Brooch W/ Folding Bail & Watch Hook
    This antique French pendant - brooch is meticulously and intricately hand crafted in gleaming 18k gold, with a high-relief "Flora" cameo surrounded by multiple borders of decorative gold work and a halo of 4-mm pearls, and a versatile assortment of functional devices on the reverse including a C-clasp and tube hinge pin-back, a hinged folding ring-bail for suspending from a chain, and a large, open-ended hook for suspending a watch or other secondary pendant from the bottom. The protuberant cameo is mounted in a scalloped bezel, nicely carved with a floral hair garland and draped clothing, and beautifully set in a conforming, domed oval with rope-twisted wire, beaded wire and gold chain borders and a scalloped outer silhouette. The pearls are mounted in crimped bezels, and the C-clasp has a French eagle mark for 18k gold with an illegible maker's mark in a triangle. In excellent condition, the cameo alone measures 21.5 x 16.5-mm, the pendant - brooch measures 1 3/8 x 1 1/8-inches overall not including the bail and weighs 8.2 grams.
