.  Another tessulatus cone from our
round-the-world
series, this one was found by a diver in 60 feet of water in the sand under rubble, at Olango Island, the Philippines 2019.
Now then, every now and then I would find one of these cones on the beach at Kwajalein, and I'll tell you, what a thrill!  Of course, I often found shells so bleached out by the sun there was no pattern left on the shell, but I did find a couple of great ones right after a storm had swept by, and they look just like this one for sale here-small shells with a tight, light-colored pattern.

As for normal disclaimers, we do the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cell phone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that's why so many of the photos of shells on eBay show up with more orange than is really there, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stop that from happening, but I try, honest!
