Elegant Antique Victorian 14K Lava Cameo Bacchante Pin Brooch Late 19th Century

Description

Sublime pale putty-colored lava cameo depicting a stately Bacchante, with grapes and grape leaves decorating her head and neck.
Nice balance of carved tresses, grape leaves, and the fullness and depth of her toga across bottom of cameo
Measures just shy of 2 inches by 1 5/8 inches. Frame is 14K rose gold, not marked, but tested, wrapped at bottom with a brass rope.
There are a couple old solder repairs at the top in back, perhaps a bale or other fitting removed at top?
A few minute dark spots, typical of old lava cameos. Italian lava cameos were carved from volcanic rock called tuff, in the Vesuvius region around Naples.
Late 19th century, Italian, gorgeous.
