Meriden Company is based in Meriden, Connecticut.
The front of both has a Gothic letter "G" monogram engraved.
The cream pitcher measures 2 ⅝ inches at the base, 4 inches tall to the top of the handle.
The sugar measures 3 ¼ inches across the base and 3 ¼ inches tall to the top of the handle.
Weight in solid sterling silver: 245 grams.
The Meriden Britannia Company formed in 1852 in Meriden, CT. as a manufacturer of britannia metal and silver wares. The company grew quickly until 1870s when the company was the largest silverware company in the world. In 1898 the company became part of the International Silver Company, but continued to make designs under the Meriden name. Many of their designed pieces are in museums around the world.
There are a few dings/dents on the surfaces. Both pieces could use a polish to look their best.
