What a find!!!! This is a rare Muncie Arts musical ball jug. Gorgeous teal color and it still plays music!!
Imagine my excitement when I found this snugged away in a barn!! A true buried treasure!
These are rare to find intact and often are used in movie production as props. I can’t say this one was…but they are sought after in the industry.
The bad news…the stopper is missing and the handle has been broken and repaired. At first this disappointed me but as I cleaned it up I found those flaws made me love it even more. The teal gives a very farmhouse feel and the flaws make it a stunning rustic piece.
I don’t recognize the tune it plays and unfortunately I was unable to attach the video.
But it does wind and play as it was designed to do.
Item is from mid 20th century. The factory was abandoned in 1942 so this little jug was produced before that.
Truly a unique piece to add to your collection.
