Muncie Pottery 1929 Yellow Brown Peachskin 2 Handle Genie Vase #143-7
Muncie Pottery started production of art pottery in 1919 as the Muncie Clay Products Company. Muncie Pottery started as a subsidiary of the German-American Clay Company. Muncie Pottery like so many of the other American art pottery companies closed its doors as a victim of the depression in 1939.
This 6 1/2 inch tall Muncie vase is glazed in a beautiful brown/yellow peachskin combination. This is a lovely handled vase nicknamed 'Genie' by collectors. Beautiful shape and color.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze and little to no crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. I cannot detect and repairs or restoration on this piece. The white spots are studio light reflections.
Authentic Muncie Pottery. All images are original and un-edited.
    Height: 6 1/2", Base: 3 1/8" , Rim: 1 3/4" ID 2458c
