“VETEMENTS” by Netflix actor Jemar Michael. This piece is inspired by the brand Vetements created by designer Demna Gvasalia. As an artist I’ve always been inspired by Gvasalia’s idea of anti-fashion. I find his commentary through his clothing is bold, innovative, and sheer genius. I wanted to create a piece that gave ode to the brand. I was specifically inspired by the phone case collaboration with Casetify. The use of carefully selected stickers that gives a nostalgic presence from the 90’s.
This piece was made with carefully chosen high quality stickers all hand placed. Protected by high quality epoxy resin. The letters were also made with the same resin and beautiful obsidian mica powder. This piece would go perfectly in any walk in closet or bedroom. It would even look incredible in any office.
