Vintage Carved or Etched Dragon Round Chinese Table Top (only)

Similar in appearance to the Carved Dragon Tabletop of the ca 1940, the original top may have been all red lacquer and the base (missing) was possibly a carved dragon. With the base and red top lacquer, without the side damage a very similar table to this (at 50" in diameter) recently sold as "Chinese Antique carved dragon base round table red lacquer top" for 00 on eBay. With similar side carving and the same top edge carving, this table top is quite similar in appearance and with a little work can become a beautiful centerpiece in an elegant home, office or studio when re-lacquered to match the current color of the brightest red on the table top.
I'm including a picture of the missing base that should go with this table top for you to see what kind of base you would be looking for, or want to have made, however it is NOT part of the inventory.
One portion of the edge of the rounded tabletop has damage about 2 1/2" long by about 3/4" wide on top red/black side and another 1/2" or so on the black edge side. This is more the thick patterned paint than the wood though and it can be matched in color and glossiness to restore it. See all photos please as part of description.
