Vintage ZEISS-JENA SFO 63 Telescope Mirror in Original Case-
This one is a two sided mirror, white light and are used for viewing the sun. There doesn't appear to be magnification. It's definitely a Zeiss though it is not printed on the mirror itself. There is a paper that has that and printing in German. I found other examples on message boards and an astronomical sales site. There does not appear to be any flaws other than some stray dust particles. I don't really want to do much cleaning, not that it needs it. I have removed a couple of dust particles. Over the years they tend to adhere a little bit. It shows no sign of ever having been mounted.  I believe this was made for the Zeiss 'Telementor' telescope.
On the top of the box it says 'OBEN'. This is German for 'up'.
We bought a lot of old lenses and mirrors, tubes and such for a DIY telescope at an estate sale. Lots of Zeiss. Check our store for more, we will be listing new items daily for a while! Next up will be another Zeiss mirror size SFO 80.
I changed the condition category from 'open box' to 'used'. It shows no signs of ever having been actually used.
